¿De qué trata Land of the Lustrous?

En un futuro lejano, ha nacido una nueva forma de vida bautizada como ‘houseki’ (“gemas”). Las 28 houseki, con diferentes cometidos como guerrero o médico, deben luchar contra los ‘tsukijin’ (“gente de la Luna”), que tienen como objetivo convertirlas en objetos decorativos. A pesar de su deseo de combatir a los tsukijin, Phos es una houseki sin ocupación hasta que Kongo, el jefe de las muchachas, le encarga editar una revista sobre historia natural.
