¿De qué trata The Winds of War?

The Winds of War es una miniserie de 1983 que sigue el libro homónimo de Herman Wouk. Al igual que en el libro, además de las vidas de las familias Henry y Jastrow, en la miniserie se dedica mucho tiempo a los principales acontecimientos mundiales de este periodo. Adolf Hitler y el estado mayor alemán, con el ficticio general von Roon como personaje principal, es una subtrama destacada de la miniserie. Still assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, Henry saves the day when friction rises between the Russian hosts and their visitors at a State dinner. In return, Stalin agrees to greater cooperation with the U.S., and agrees to let Henry visit the frontlines. Henry isn't so sure about the visit when he learns that Pamela and her father will be accompanying him. Henry finally receives orders to command a battleship and to report to Pearl Harbor.
